Susan A. Murphy, Ph.D., one of the principal investigators for the MD2K Center, was among 70 new members announced today by the Institute of Medicine (IOM). Election to the IOM is considered one of the highest honors in the fields of health and medicine. New members are elected by current active members through a process that recognizes individuals who have made major contributions in the fields of medical sciences, public health and health care. Dr. Murphy is the H.E. Robbins Distinguished University Professor of Statistics, professor of psychiatry and research professor at the Institute for Social Research at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
